LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT
Responsible Recycling
Recycling is the last step in a circular program, not the first. When devices and components have been refurbished, harvested, and processed for every bit of recoverable value, what’s left moves into responsible recycling — routed through vetted downstream recyclers, tracked against the originating serials, and reported back for your environmental and compliance teams.
OUR APPROACH
Recycle Last, Recycle Right
The most sustainable device is the one that stays in service — that’s why our model puts reuse and harvesting first.
But for every program, there’s a tail of devices and materials that no longer have a productive next life. We handle those the same way we handle everything else: with documented chain of custody from our Houston facility, vetted downstream partners, and reporting that holds up to audit.
THE WASTE HIERARCHY
Recycling Sits at the End of the Line
Every unit climbs the hierarchy as high as it can before recycling becomes the right answer.
Reuse
Working devices stay in service through refurbishment and redeployment.
Refurbish
Repairable units are returned to channel, stock, or end-users.
Harvest
Non-viable units yield working components that re-enter the supply chain.
Recycle
What’s left is routed to certified, responsibly-managed downstream recyclers.
WHAT GETS RECYCLED
Materials We Route Through Certified Streams
Sorted by material type at our facility, then routed to specialized downstream recovery streams.
Metals
Aluminum, steel, copper, and precious metals recovered from chassis, heat sinks, and connectors.
Plastics
Housings, bezels, and structural plastics sorted and routed to plastics-recovery streams.
Glass & Displays
LCD and panel glass routed through specialized streams that handle integrated electronics.
Circuit Boards
Stripped boards routed to refiners for precious-metal recovery.
Batteries
Li-ion and other battery chemistries handled through battery-specific recyclers with appropriate transport protocols.
Cables & Wire
Copper-bearing cable and wiring routed to copper-recovery streams.
THE DOWNSTREAM NETWORK
Where the Materials Actually Go
CSAT handles intake, sorting, destruction, and harvesting in-house — then routes materials to recovery specialists.
Vetted Partners
Downstream recyclers are selected and reviewed against environmental, health-and-safety, and compliance criteria — and re-evaluated over time.
Documented Chain of Custody
Each outbound material stream is documented from CSAT’s dock to the recycler’s facility, with weights and dispositions recorded.
Reportable Outcomes
We report back on what was recycled, by material category, so your sustainability and compliance teams have real numbers — not estimates.
WHY IT MATTERS
What Responsible Recycling Actually Buys You
Landfill Diversion
Devices and materials kept out of landfills support corporate sustainability targets and reduce environmental liability.
Compliance Support
Documented disposition supports environmental reporting, e-waste regulations, and customer/regulator audits.
Materials Recovery
Recycling recovers metals, plastics, and rare materials that go back into new manufacturing — a literal circular economy.
No Surprises Downstream
Vetting downstream partners means materials don’t end up in unregulated shipments or unsafe environments.
CONNECTED SERVICES
Part of the Full Lifecycle Program
Component Harvesting
Before recycling, working subassemblies are pulled and returned to circulation.
Secure Data Destruction
Data-bearing devices go through ISO 27001-certified destruction before anything reaches recycling.
End-of-Life & Circular Services
Refurbish / harvest / recycle decisioning under one circular program.
CIRCULAR BY DESIGN
Recycling Is the Backstop, Not the Plan
Every device kept in service through refurbishment is a device that doesn’t need to be recycled today. The bigger the reuse and harvest numbers at the front of the funnel, the smaller — and more carefully managed — the recycling tail at the end.
Close the Loop, on the Record
Tell us what’s reaching end-of-life, what reporting your stakeholders need, and what your sustainability commitments look like. We’ll design a recycling tail that’s documented, vetted, and audit-ready.
